UAE: Patents Filing Requirement- Legalization of Supporting Documents is No Longer Required for Patent and Design Registration

The Ministry confirmed that Power of Attorney, Deed of Assignment and Certificate of Incorporation are no longer required to be legalized by the Consulate of the UAE, while the notarization of the same will be sufficient.

For local applicants, a stamp of a UAE public entity (e.g. government organizations, national universities) is now regarded as equivalent to notarization.
